About the position

As an Energy Engineer at ENGIE, you will play a crucial role in understanding the financial and technical impacts of various energy solutions for customers. You will collaborate closely with business developers and project managers in the on-site utilities sector, sharing innovations and best practices. The position focuses on the development of renewable energy solutions and the decarbonization of installations, reporting directly to the Utilities Head of Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the impact of technical decisions on customers, including financial implications.
  • Collaborate with on-site utilities business developers and project managers.
  • Share innovations, guidelines, best practices, and tools across the team.
  • Estimate Capex and Opex in coordination with various teams for on-site utilities projects.
  • Size and design on-site utilities projects, including CHP, steam utilities, and cooling power plants.
  • Liaise with teams to implement innovative solutions in a controlled manner.
  • Complete any other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in Engineering or Solutions Architect roles for Capex-based on-site utilities projects.
  • Knowledge of multi-solutions required for energy systems (CHPs, biomass-fired plants, cooling systems, compressed-air).
  • Ability to size and design on-site utilities projects and multi-energy systems.
  • Experience estimating Capex and Opex in collaboration with Operations & Management, Project Management, and construction teams.
  • Experience working in an industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of technical regulations and commercial issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Efficient and result-oriented.
