About the position

The Energy Industry Procurement and Project Management Consultant at Accenture is responsible for helping clients develop strategies and operating models that integrate various functions within their organizations, particularly in the energy sector. This role involves utilizing data analytics to improve supply chain processes, enhance operational efficiency, and foster collaboration across companies. The consultant will engage with clients to identify challenges, lead workshops, and provide insights that drive organizational improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Support Client Executives in managing relationships with assigned clients.
  • Manage plant level relationships and prepare required information for client calls.
  • Act as a secondary point of contact for clients and maintain relationships.
  • Identify and solve supply chain and operations challenges using analytical skills.
  • Lead workshops to improve organizational processes.
  • Determine appropriate methods and procedures for project completion.
  • Provide clients with insights to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Challenge legacy processes to promote client growth.
  • Utilize digital technology to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively within small to medium-sized teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain initiatives.
  • Minimum of 3 years of external consulting experience or 3-5 years of internal consulting experience in a similar role within the Energy or Utilities industry.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Energy Procurement.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Understanding of energy markets, including utility tariffs, deregulated and regulated markets, and risk management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Deep specialization in procurement or cost takeout initiatives.
  • Experience in forecasting, supply chain planning, and inventory optimization.
  • Manufacturing production experience in continuous or discrete environments.
  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree.
  • Functional-level understanding of technology solutions.
  • Lean or Six Sigma qualifications.
  • Experience with data analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Adobe Analytics.
