About the position

The Energy Project Manager at Johnson, Mirmiran, and Thompson Inc. is responsible for delivering project objectives including scope, schedule, and budget for energy-related projects. This role involves technical and sales leadership, project/program management, and staff management, with a focus on business development in the energy market.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an active sales and business development role with an emphasis on energy market growth.
• Manage and document business development and sales efforts in the client management system.
• Serve as a technical advisor and knowledge resource by training and assisting team members.
• Establish client and project plans aligned with practice and market objectives.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Manage team workflow for maximum efficiency and profitability.
• Prepare change orders and addenda to contracts.
• Manage and complete the project billing process.
• Supervise, develop, and mentor direct reports.
• Hold direct reports accountable to meeting Success Plan and team goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited engineering program or equivalent training and experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 10+ years' experience working in the energy field or on energy related projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

• PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.
• Energy related experience - design and/or field related.
• Experience working with local clients at the county and state level.
• Experience working with/for national and regional energy clients and ESCO's.
• Project management and business development experience.
• Experience managing multidiscipline project teams.
