About the position

The Field Project Management Leader at Johnson Controls operates as a subject matter expert within a national support team, focusing on utility, state, and federal program development, project design, estimating, and scope development for various living spaces. This role involves taking ownership of project execution plans, schedules, and budgets while collaborating with sales and engineering teams to secure contracts and maintain customer satisfaction throughout project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee program development, program incentives, and applications related to energy savings and project estimating.
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to secure energy performance contracts.
  • Maintain relationships with customers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction during project execution phases.
  • Assist in planning for future resource needs and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Assess project execution needs and assign construction managers as necessary.
  • Support design related to energy efficiency and GHG reduction goals.
  • Communicate project status to the Vertical Market Director and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business or equivalent work experience.
  • Ten or more years of progressively responsible operations management experience in the installation industry, including five or more years of direct management experience.
  • High-level competence in written and verbal communication.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to speak to large audiences.
  • Ability to lead, manage, mentor, and inspire others.
  • Knowledge of supply chain organization and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in software scheduling tools and applications, including MS Office, MS Project, SharePoint, and Visio.
