About the position

The Sales Account Manager for Energy Storage Solutions (ESS) at Samsung SDI America is responsible for driving sales and managing key accounts within the renewable energy sector. This role involves implementing sales strategies, nurturing relationships with customers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services. The position requires a strong focus on customer engagement and satisfaction, as well as the ability to navigate complex sales processes in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate and respond to customer RFI/RFQ/RFP to achieve or exceed Order Intake and Sales/Revenue goals.
  • Lead the development and execution of winning sales strategies based on customer needs and competitive landscape.
  • Communicate and influence the organization to submit responsive proposals and participate in contract negotiations.
  • Maintain up-to-date information in the Customer Relationship Management system for Order Intake and Sales/Revenue forecasting.
  • Resolve outstanding delivery and Account Receivable issues.
  • Implement Account Management processes to understand customer needs and objectives.
  • Establish strategy with Account Team to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop close relationships with customer organizations, including senior executives, to influence product requirements.
  • Mobilize account team to resolve significant product or service issues.
  • Recognize market trends and identify new customers to partner with.
  • Evangelize Samsung SDI's value proposition to existing and new customers.
  • Identify new products and services required for market leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering.
  • At least 8 years of experience conducting complex technical sales in the energy industry.
  • 4+ years of prior experience in Sales and Marketing in the energy sector preferred.
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States and a driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master/MBA or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in power generation, transmission and distribution or renewable energy in the utility & developer energy markets.
  • Proven track record of account management and sales experience with outstanding success relative to goals and objectives.
