Form Energy is at the forefront of building America's clean energy future, focusing on pioneering a new class of iron-air batteries that will enable the electric grid to operate on renewable, reliable, and affordable energy year-round. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing the assembly processes for our large final battery assembly, known as the Enclosure, which is comparable in size to a shipping container. This position is not just about engineering; it’s about creating a manufacturing organization from the ground up, ensuring that our production capabilities can meet the growing demand for our innovative energy storage solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of Enclosure assembly, including the development of processes, equipment, tests, layouts, and training. You will collaborate closely with design engineering teams from the early stages of product development to ensure manufacturability and to initiate manufacturing development. Your hands-on approach will be essential as you carry equipment, workstation, and process development from concept through to deployment and training on the factory floor. You will work alongside equipment suppliers, factory operations, design engineers, on-floor operators, and the quality team to create a safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing team that is dedicated to tackling climate change through innovative technology. You will have the chance to make a meaningful impact by building something from nothing and contributing to the production of giant batteries that will help transform the energy landscape. The position is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV, conveniently located near Pittsburgh, PA.
