About the position

The Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Engineering Analyst position at ICF involves applying engineering and analytical skills to support energy efficiency initiatives and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The role focuses on developing specifications for energy-efficient products, engaging with stakeholders, and conducting in-depth analyses to shape energy policies and programs that impact communities and the environment.

Responsibilities

• Performing research, analysis, and industry outreach to develop energy efficiency specifications for various product categories.
• Serving as a liaison between government and industry stakeholders to understand challenges and opportunities for improving product efficiency.
• Performing in-depth analysis of energy efficiency savings using spreadsheets, databases, and custom programming.
• Reviewing literature and conducting market and product analytical research.
• Writing technical materials and developing program strategies.
• Preparing and presenting persuasive presentations on energy efficiency and industry trends.
• Conveying complex technical subjects to non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field (e.g., Physics).
• At least one year of relevant technical experience in a full-time capacity.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience or expertise working with consumer electronics, IT/data center, or electric vehicle-related products.
• Experience in product development and/or test method development.
• Familiarity with public-private voluntary partnership programs focused on energy efficiency.
• Proficiency in quantitative and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivation.
• Demonstrated interest in climate- and sustainability-related areas.
