About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, mathematics, finance, or a related field
  • Approximately 8 years of work experience
  • 5-8 years of experience in the oil and gas trading sector, particularly in the front office
  • Technical/Functional ETRM system implementation experience
  • Experience in energy commodities and commercial aspects of commodity trading
  • Understanding of the transaction lifecycle for commodities
  • Ability to liaise between business, technology, and vendor teams
  • Strong strategic thinking and solutioning skills
  • Ability to implement solutions for clients
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Curious mindset with a desire to learn and grow
  • Highly seasoned project management skills
  • Ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • Strong executive facilitation skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 60%

Responsibilities

  • Define and document trading front, middle and back-office process design
  • Implement an energy trading organizational model
  • Conduct benchmarking, surveys, and market scans for new technology opportunities
  • Perform vendor assessments and scoring, including fit/gap analysis
  • Integrate and align cross-product and cross-region commodity trading processes
  • Identify new business opportunities leveraging prior energy trading experience
  • Gather functional design and requirements across various trading functions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including business, front office, and technical teams
  • Understand capital adequacy, liquidity, and treasury in energy trading
  • Develop functional and technical roadmaps for energy trading
  • Formulate trading growth strategies and new market entry plans
  • Set commodity management vision and commercial strategy for new energies
  • Contribute to business development and growth strategies for the energy trading team
