The Engagement Consultant is a pivotal role within Cigna Healthcare, responsible for the development, implementation, and management of wellness programs tailored to the needs of Cigna Select & Middle Market Buyer Group Clients. This position requires a deep understanding of diverse employee populations and the ability to identify the most effective wellness program mix that will engage and activate employees towards achieving their health improvement goals. The Engagement Consultant collaborates closely with the account management team to recommend the appropriate delivery and coordination of wellness programs, ensuring that customer education initiatives are effectively executed and monitored for their impact and effectiveness. A core objective of the Engagement Consultant is to facilitate wellness initiatives that not only educate but also influence employees at their worksite to adopt healthier lifestyles. This role is instrumental in enhancing employee consumerism and achieving customer-centric utilization goals. The consultant will engage with employers and brokers to develop strategic health engagement plans, spearhead customer engagement initiatives, and coordinate awareness and education activities. Additionally, the consultant will present benefit plan designs to customers during annual open enrollment meetings, ensuring that clients are well-informed about their options. The Engagement Consultant is also responsible for supporting client wellness objectives by managing the communication and execution of wellness initiatives. This includes researching and responding to inquiries related to Cigna health information and wellness plans, as well as proactively communicating any changes or issues that may arise. The consultant may act as a liaison between various departments, including wellness, billing, marketing, and external vendors, applying standard techniques and procedures to provide professional advice and create initial reports and analyses for review. In assessing clients' employee health challenges and objectives, the Engagement Consultant will design a strategic multi-year wellness program customized to the workforce's specific goals and budget. This assessment will utilize various data sources, including health assessments, organizational assessments, claims/utilization data, and employee surveys. The consultant will also emphasize the importance of a robust framework for effective wellness programs, which includes leadership support, a wellness committee, appropriate incentive structures, and supportive organizational policies. Furthermore, the Engagement Consultant will coordinate with sales partners to identify opportunities for product penetration within existing accounts and strategize to maximize membership. Ongoing analysis and evaluation of client communication and health/wellness strategies will be conducted to determine their effectiveness and impact on total claims, utilization, biometric data, and employee engagement. The consultant will manage an assigned book of business and, if applicable, oversee the client wellness fund provided by Cigna, including arranging reimbursements and payments to vendors for qualified expenses. Presentations to clients or brokers regarding Cigna's health and wellness offerings will also be a key responsibility, along with coordinating and delivering client education sessions and benefit meetings.
