About the position

The Engagement Manager at Comcast is responsible for overseeing technical program management activities for strategic programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams and acting as the primary point of contact for customer relationships, driving program success from inception to market launch. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage complex projects while fostering collaboration among various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer expectations, service delivery, and relationship development.
  • Serve as the primary customer point of contact ensuring partner satisfaction.
  • Run collaboration and planning within technical programs to move impactful products from inception to market launch.
  • Encourage collaboration from cross-functional teams to reach significant objectives.
  • Create relationships with key stakeholders to influence decision-making.
  • Facilitate the development of goals, objectives, and criteria for program success.
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to achieve customer business outcomes.
  • Support budget and resource forecasting exercises.
  • Analyze areas of risk and establish contingency plans.
  • Work with leadership to identify program trade-offs and develop resolutions to complex problems.
  • Track program timelines and analyze performance against the plan.
  • Communicate updates on major milestones and keep all partners informed of progress and issues.
  • Operate in program or product management with agile principles in mind.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of technical program or product management experience
  • Ability to work onsite in Philadelphia office
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Experience with driving the success of programs focused on hardware development, embedded firmware, or application software development
  • Deep understanding of SDLC
  • Experience driving major program initiatives with multiple phases and business partners
  • Background in agile processes and principles
  • Self-starter with a passion for driving problem resolution and collaboration
  • Comfort with running technical discussions and translating to non-technical teams
  • Experience with technical program management technologies such as Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheets
  • Proven track record of successful programs and product launches
