About the position

Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Engagement Manager to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications for the Water & Sewerage Services Company (WSSC). This role involves engaging with cross-functional teams to ensure software solutions align with organizational goals, improve operational efficiency, and support water resource management and customer services. The ideal candidate will have expertise in software development, project management, and team leadership within the water services sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of water-related software applications and solutions.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for key applications, including requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment.
• Manage software enhancement projects to ensure timely delivery, scope control, and quality assurance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring business requirements are clearly understood and met.
• Foster strong relationships with senior management to align software development with strategic business goals.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of application development projects, ensuring effective resource allocation and adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Develop project plans, track progress, and mitigate risks while delivering software solutions that support water operations.
• Lead and mentor a team of software developers, engineers, and analysts, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve seamless integration of software applications.
• Evaluate and recommend new software technologies, tools, and best practices to improve application development processes.
• Continuously assess and optimize current software systems to ensure scalability, security, and compliance with industry standards.
• Ensure that developed applications are reliable, secure, and fully supported post-deployment.
• Monitor application performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for system improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software application development and management, preferably within the utility or water services industry.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing software projects from inception to completion.
• Expertise in development frameworks, tools, and technologies related to water management and utility systems.
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similar.
• Experience with database management systems (SQL, Oracle, etc.).
• Familiarity with cloud computing, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.

Nice-to-haves

• PMP, Agile, or other relevant project management certifications preferred.
• Experience with utilities applications.
• Experience with AI, Machine Learning, IoT, ArcGIS, RPA, ServiceNow, PowerBI, FileNet, Oracle Utilities Suite, and Multi-cloud environments.
