About the position

The Engagement Planner at Amentum is responsible for leading and participating in planning activities that assess engagement opportunities and recommend strategic engagements for the Commander of the Navy Information Operations Command, Pacific (NIOC-P). This role involves overseeing high-level planning processes, integrating strategic communications, and coordinating with various military and governmental entities to ensure alignment with INDOPACOM cyber operations objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead Joint and Full Spectrum cyber network/range events focused on USINDOPACOM priorities.
  • Coordinate with higher headquarters, DoD, US Government (USG) agencies, interagency partners, and international counterparts.
  • Provide expert briefings and updates to senior leaders on planning progress and engagement outcomes.
  • Generate and recommend new engagement activities for military and governmental leaders.
  • Draft high-quality messages, talking points, and briefings tailored to GOFOs and senior officials.
  • Develop and implement a targeting-like methodology for engagement opportunities.
  • Ensure all engagements are aligned with Command objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Demonstrate strong capabilities in mission analysis, analytic problem solving, and strategic/operational recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development of policy and strategic recommendations based on thorough analysis and assessment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Political Science, International Relations, Military Science)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in military planning, strategic communications, and engagement planning.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and current CI Polygraph. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information to high-ranking officials effectively.
  • Experience in coordinating cyber operations and understanding of cyber network/range events.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree and/or attendance at Service Command and General Staff College
  • Experience coordinating with other Department of Defense (DoD) entities, including the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense and INDOPACOM's Service Components as well as non-DoD organizations such as DHS and State Department.
