About the position

The Engagement Strategy Coordinator (Operations & Policy Analyst 3) at the Oregon Department of Human Services plays a crucial role in shaping policies and developing strategies that ensure community voices drive decisions. This position focuses on promoting equity and inclusion within the agency, collaborating with community partners, and managing outreach efforts to improve service delivery for diverse populations in Oregon.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and foster collaboration and an inclusive work environment that respects the unique lived experiences of peers and diverse communities.
  • Analyze data to identify disparities in equitable service delivery and develop outreach strategies to community-based organizations.
  • Establish, lead, and support committees for customer and community partner recommendations, developing agendas and tracking outcomes.
  • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate agency collaboration with cross-program and cross-agency partners and community members.
  • Manage the Community Engagement Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to build awareness of outreach and reduce duplication of contact.
  • Collaborate with ODHS Tribal Affairs and Oregon's Tribal Nations for Tribal Consultation implementation.
  • Coordinate with community partners to analyze policy proposals and recommend agency action to improve legislative outcomes.
  • Coordinate agency-wide community engagement efforts.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Political Science, Social Work, Organization Development, Civic Engagement, or a related field.
  • Four years of professional-level evaluative, analytical, and planning work experience, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to seven years.

  • Proven facilitation experience with diverse groups.
  • Experience in strategic planning and coordination of long-term goals.
  • Experience in analyzing disaggregated data and making data-driven decisions.
