About the position

The Engine/Airframe Integration Engineer at GE Aviation is responsible for systems engineering, focusing on the integration of components and products to ensure maximum performance and operability. This role involves managing product and system requirements, driving validation and verification activities, and overseeing product configuration. The engineer will contribute to strategy and policy development while utilizing technical expertise to analyze data and support recommendations. The position requires a balance of operational judgment and technical knowledge, with opportunities for professional development and leadership in small projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts component and product integration activities across multiple components and products.
  • Manages product and systems requirements, specifications, and flow down.
  • Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system-level testing.
  • Defines product requirements for modules, components, subcontractors, and partner teams.
  • Manages interfaces between components and execution organizations.
  • Drives CTQ/Risk trades within the teams designing the components.
  • Manages the overall product configuration and configuration control system.
  • Develops specialized knowledge in their discipline and serves as a best practice/quality resource.
  • Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensures delivery within the area of responsibility.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may lead small projects with moderate risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering or a related function.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
