About the position

The PACCAR Global Engine team is seeking a motivated Engine Integration Engineer to enhance product development, particularly focusing on the integration and performance of heavy-duty diesel engines within PACCAR's engine families. This role involves close collaboration with a global cross-functional team to deliver high-performing emissions and On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) compliant engine calibrations tailored for the North American and European markets. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the engine systems are seamlessly integrated with other vehicle systems, thereby contributing to the overall performance and compliance of PACCAR's products. In this position, the engineer will lead software integration efforts, ensuring that the Controller Area Network (CAN) messaging is accurate and effective for quality integration. The role requires testing for defects, determining root causes, and providing insights for potential resolutions and improvements in engine software and controls. The engineer will coordinate test setups and execution in both vehicle and test cell environments, ensuring that all integration and hardware testing of cooling system components meet the necessary engine installation requirements. Additionally, the engineer will interface with engine fan suppliers, providing calibration support during initial tuning and integration activities. Troubleshooting system integration defects during new product testing will also be a key responsibility. The engineer will work within a global team to develop comprehensive test plans that ensure requirement coverage and quality results, while also maintaining clear communication and documentation of their work. Staying current with software functionality, product requirements, and industry standards in the heavy-duty diesel sector is essential for success in this role.
