About the position

The Engine Systems Engineer at Amentum plays a crucial role in the Engine Systems team, focusing on the review and analysis of engine system performance and testing. This position involves preparing technical materials for design milestone reviews, coordinating data reviews, and participating in anomaly investigations. The role emphasizes collaboration, communication, and technical expertise in liquid propulsion systems.

Responsibilities

• Review pre-test predictions and post-test data, and conduct anomaly investigations.
• Prepare and present engine system and subsystem data review content to review boards.
• Attend test readiness meetings and participate in pre- and post-test data reviews.
• Coordinate and develop technical materials related to engine system performance and testing.
• Prepare technical assessments for liquid propulsion system sizing and performance.
• Participate in trade teams to identify and resolve issues.
• Document customer objectives and product requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree from an ABET accredited institution in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Basic understanding of pump-fed, liquid rocket engine operation through education or work experience.
• Capability to plan and perform systems engineering and analysis tasks independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to provide own transportation.
