About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at BAE Systems involves supporting the Transition to Production, Production Support, and Sustainment team. The role focuses on the production and sustainment of complex digital, analog, and microwave circuit card assemblies and subsystems. Engineers will work closely with advanced military platforms and engage in various activities, including design assessments, circuit analyses, mentoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of quality products.

Responsibilities

• Assess design updates to existing circuit card assemblies
• Conduct circuit analyses to assess performance impacts
• Mentor technicians
• Work with hardware suppliers
• Support product yield and affordability improvements
• Support the debug of complex circuits
• Support transition to production of new products
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to ensure on-time deliveries of quality products

Requirements

• BSEE from an accredited College/University
• Ability to research and apply electrical engineering principles and theories to solve electrical engineering problems
• Motivated self-starter with leadership potential
• Excellent problem-solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability
• Ability to close on discrete tasking in a timely manner and lead others to closure
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
• Able to obtain a Secret Clearance

Nice-to-haves

• MSEE from an accredited College/University
• Active Secret Clearance
• 1+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience gathering and analyzing test data to assess trends and develop yield improvement plans
• CAD based schematic capture and simulation
