Responsibilities

• Perform conventional engineering investigations and design work with limited complexity.
• Conduct equipment design and development tests, prepare specifications, and perform research investigations.
• Prepare written reports, technical documents, and monitor contract performance to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
• Design and conduct tests or experiments, adjusting and correlating data as necessary.
• Apply understanding of manufacturing technology and engineering policies to meet department goals.
• Develop skills to interpret technical specifications and prepare time and cost estimates.

Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Engineering.
• Two years of engineering experience since obtaining the B.S. degree (or one year with a Master's degree).
• Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multifunctional team.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship and able to obtain a DOE security clearance.
