About the position

As an Engineer 2 in the DevOps/Cloud team, you will leverage your technical expertise to address business challenges and enhance technology effectiveness. This role involves evaluating technology solutions, gathering requirements, and making recommendations for improvements. You will work in a dynamic environment focused on building AWS and/or Azure infrastructure, utilizing Terraform and CI/CD methodologies, while ensuring solutions meet security, compliance, and performance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in DevOps and Cloud technologies.
  • Evaluate technology effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, and research.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to enhance quality and effectiveness.
  • Listen to and evaluate customer needs to provide high-quality solutions.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure.
  • Identify and implement changes to maximize team efficiency in delivering solutions.
  • Incorporate security into all decisions and daily responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • 3+ years of related experience in DevOps/Cloud.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Bitbucket, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Groovy, Linux Shell, and/or Python.
  • Experience with IAAS tools like Terraform and HCL scripting language.
  • Familiarity with Linux user interface and commands.
  • Experience in building, deploying, and maintaining AWS and/or Azure infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to triage problems, determine root cause, and drive resolution.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in platform management for web application environments like Java.
  • AWS or Azure cloud certifications.
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems like Adobe Experience Manager or Drupal.
  • Understanding of Open Source automation tools such as Chef or Ansible.
  • General understanding of DNS, firewalls, routing, and certificate management.
