About the position

As an Engineer 2 in Technical Product Sales Support at Comcast, you will serve as a technical and network subject matter expert for the XFINITY Communities sales team and other support organizations, including construction, network, engineering, and sales support. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate acquisition and renewal opportunities, develop and recommend product and network designs, and track these through the sales and implementation process. You will act as the regional subject matter expert for products, competitive technologies, and network options, becoming the first point of contact when engaging internal stakeholders for complex RFP or bid responses. Your focus will be on delivering a positive customer experience according to Comcast standards, providing leadership to ensure that Comcast solutions are comprehensive, meet customer expectations, and fulfill customer business needs. You will work collaboratively as a member of the sales team, taking a lead role on the technical side of the sale. In this role, you will analyze customer requirements and needs to understand how Comcast products and services can be technically applied to meet those needs. You will translate technical design requirements and create and deliver sales presentations that demonstrate your technical knowledge of Comcast products and services. As part of the sales process, you will play a key role in the preparation of RFPs by designing cost-effective solutions and solving prospective configuration challenges through the standard or Individual Case Basis (ICB) process. You will set appropriate expectations and follow up with customers on project timelines and completion, driving sales closure to shorten the sales cycle and ensure that goals and objectives are achieved. Collaboration will be essential in this position, as you will work closely with Network Engineering, Architecture Product Engineering, Systems Engineering, Service Delivery, Product Management, Product Development, HQ Sales Operations, and Marketing teams to fully support the sales and implementation process. You will also recommend products to meet customer needs and exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required, and you must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of relative work experience in technical sales support or a related area.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Comcast products and services.
  • Ability to analyze customer needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Experience in preparing RFPs and designing cost-effective solutions.
