About the position

The Engineer 3 position in Software Development & Engineering involves designing and developing new software and web applications. The role requires proficiency in various technologies and tools, including Python, Scala, and cloud computing platforms. The engineer will also support existing applications, assist in software updates, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new software and web applications using Python, Scala, LinuxOS, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Work with Kubernetes and Minio for application deployment and management.
• Utilize AWS and Databricks for cloud computing and monitoring.
• Support applications under development and customize current applications.
• Assist with the software update process for existing applications and roll-outs of software releases.
• Analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications.
• Document all development activity and write technical documentation.
• Research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs and evaluation plans.
• Monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements.
• Conduct analysis to determine integration needs.
• Work with the Quality Assurance team to ensure applications meet specifications and technical requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Two years of experience developing software using Python, Scala, LinuxOS, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform, and Ansible.
• One year of experience using AWS and Databricks for cloud computing.
