About the position

The Engineer - Aircraft Data & Asset Management role at Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services focuses on supporting aircraft acquisitions and lease return efforts through detailed records and status reviews. The position involves engineering analysis, design modifications, and the development of technical documents to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and standards. The role also emphasizes business growth and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform records/status review in areas such as Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Program Documents to support Aircraft Acquisitions and Lease Return efforts.
  • Conduct repair or modification design, engineering analysis, and substantiation, developing technical documents like repair approvals, drawings, reports, and specifications.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for business growth and revenue generation.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate and manage activities focusing on customer relationships and product support.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Engineering or related field, or AS Degree in Engineering or related field with two years of relevant experience in the aviation industry.
  • Two years of experience in aircraft maintenance in areas such as Structures, Avionics, or Systems, with consideration for maintenance planning, manufacturing, and repair experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project and Adobe Pro.
  • Knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations, specifically 14 CFR Parts 21, 23, 25, 26, 43, 91, 121, 135, 145.
  • Awareness of compliance criteria related to Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and Supplemental Type Certifications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with business development activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with FAA and OEM documentation.
