In this role, you will be involved in every stage of the instrument lifecycle, from initial concept to final commercialization, ensuring that our life sciences tools are best-in-class. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, building, and testing new separations, reactor vessels, control systems, and algorithms to control instrument functions. You will work with cross-functional teams to create and deploy new instrument systems, integrating biologic sensing systems with mechanical systems and control software. Additionally, you will create system architecture concepts, drawings, and other design specifications, while building and maintaining BOMs to ensure sustainability and manage obsolescence of existing components. Troubleshooting instrumentation issues, including those reported from the field, will be a critical part of your role. You will conduct thorough testing of cell and gene therapy protocols, from bench work in the lab to analyzing the DOE data you generate, and then propose the next set of experiments. Supporting formal verification activities, including certification testing, will also be part of your responsibilities. You will follow standards and procedures, creating documentation that meets quality procedures, regulations, and industry best practices, while complying with all applicable health, safety, and environmental policies.
