About the position

The Engineer- Data - III role is focused on engineering and deploying network fabric configurations to support the client's strategic 5G initiatives. The successful candidate will work within the Global Network Management team, collaborating closely with various teams to implement technology goals and ensure effective network solutions for 5G services.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and deploy network fabric configurations for 5G services.
• Collaborate with Capacity Planning, Design, and Operations teams to implement strategic technology goals.
• Support the migration of core elements to the client's Cloud Platform and eNSE.
• Create an environment of teamwork and cooperation with stakeholders.
• Engineer IP edge networks at Service Aggregation Points (SAP) and Transport Aggregation Points (TAP).
• Automate and deploy network configurations using automated systems and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
• Review and correct MOPs/automation templates with peers.
• Understand new design models and templates for application versions and migrations.
• Provide feedback to automation teams for workflow updates.
• Manage network engineering projects to ensure timely delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Experience with IP Layer 1-3 (IPv4/IPv6) for Edge Networks.
• Strong knowledge of VXLAN and/or fabric networking.
• Hands-on experience with deploying network configurations for virtualized services.
• Experience building MOPs and leveraging automated configuration tools.
• Hands-on experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and OSPF or IS-IS.
• Cisco (CCIE) or Nokia networking certifications.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Cisco (VTS), Nokia (Nuage) or Itential (IAP) automation tools.
