About the position

The Engineer Development Program at James Hardie is an entry-level, fast-paced initiative designed to challenge and develop new engineering talent. Participants will engage in hands-on training, mentorship, and lead projects that directly impact manufacturing success. The program spans two years, with the first year focused on rotational training across various manufacturing plants and the second year dedicated to a specific role within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Pair with an engineering mentor for support and guidance throughout the program.
  • Attend quarterly training weeks with peers and mentors at corporate headquarters and manufacturing facilities.
  • Receive hands-on job shadow training from experienced employees.
  • Lead key projects that impact the success of manufacturing plants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Paper Science, Polymer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering.
  • Ability to relocate to one of the 11 U.S. Manufacturing plants.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Demonstrated work ethic through past co-op or internship (preferred).
