The role requires functioning with recognized industry-level expertise in a technical area, ensuring that all engineering activities align with safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability standards while meeting customer needs and regulatory requirements. The engineer will perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support various technical projects. They will provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering activities, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. The position also involves accountability for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, ensuring proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, and codes in the preparation of plans and specifications. In addition, the engineer will provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems, manage engineering issues, and recommend new concepts and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, and comply with changes in codes or regulations.
