The Electrical Engineer position plays a crucial role in supporting nuclear plant operations through advanced engineering problem-solving. This role is responsible for making technical decisions and requires superior knowledge in the functional discipline, along with an excellent understanding of applicable industry codes and regulations. The engineer will function with recognized industry-level expertise in a technical area, ensuring that all engineering activities align with safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability standards while complying with customer needs and regulatory requirements. The primary duties include performing independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical projects. The engineer will provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering activities, ensuring that all work is accurate, complete, and timely. This includes maintaining proper configuration management and adhering to standard design criteria, practices, and codes in the preparation of plans and specifications. The engineer will also be involved in identifying and resolving equipment and system problems, recommending new concepts and techniques to improve performance, and supporting plant design modifications and testing. In addition to technical responsibilities, the engineer will develop, implement, and coordinate functional supervisory activities, including personnel management, budgetary accountabilities, and planning goals related to engineering personnel. This position can be filled at either the Senior Engineer or Sr. Staff Engineer level, with varying qualifications and experience requirements for each level.
