About the position

The Electronics Product Support Project Engineer at Triumph Group will be responsible for leading the development, processing, and presentation of engineering design change packages for existing electronic control unit designs. This role involves providing project engineering and electrical/electronic design support, particularly in quoting, designing, developing, and qualifying redesigns for electronic engine control programs in FAA and government applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and processing of engineering design change packages.
• Provide project engineering and electrical/electronic design support.
• Quote, design, develop, and qualify redesigns for existing production and fielded electronic engine control programs.
• Collaborate with a Sustaining Engineering Project Team.
• Address component obsolescence and product improvement design changes.

Requirements

• 4-10 years of electronics engineering experience in Avionics, Instrumentation, or Control System Design or Product Engineering.
• A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required.
• Project Engineering experience of electronic controls utilized within an aerospace environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively and efficiently.
• Working knowledge of hardware design standards such as DO-160, IPC guidelines including A-610, J-STD-001, and 7711/7721.
• Familiarity with 6-Sigma design methodologies and built-in-test.
