About the position

The Embedded Software Developer at GE Aerospace is responsible for designing, developing, and testing embedded software within the Integrated Vehicle Health Management (IVHM) team. This role emphasizes adherence to aviation software safety standards and involves a blend of onsite and hybrid work arrangements, requiring presence in the office for 2-3 days each week. The position offers opportunities for mentorship and collaboration within a diverse team dedicated to advancing aerospace technology.

Responsibilities

  • Architecting, designing, and developing embedded software for IVHM products, ensuring adherence to GE's stringent processes and the DO-178C standard.
  • Monitoring continuous software integration and testing processes to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Identifying software failures and implementing effective solutions to ensure the robustness of IVHM solutions.
  • Acting as a mentor and resource for less experienced team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
  • At least 1 year of experience in embedded software development.
  • At least 1 year of experience in C coding.
