In project management, you will gain insights into the daily and long-term business and financial management of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include financial management, where you will review gross billings, track change orders, and manage subcontractor requisitions. You will also be responsible for document control, overseeing the submittals, Requests for Information (RFI), and material tracking processes. Additionally, you will work closely with trade partners, becoming a trusted advisor to ensure successful field installations. Field management will provide you with hands-on experience in the building process, assisting in laying the groundwork for projects, and coordinating the sequence of work on-site. You will focus on quality control and safety, monitoring trade workers to ensure high standards of work and safety practices. Assisting with project schedules and logistics will also be part of your role, along with critical thinking to resolve unforeseen challenges that may arise during installations. In project development, you will learn how Clark acquires new work and develops strategies to meet project goals while maintaining client relationships. This includes responsibilities in budgeting, estimating, and purchasing, where you will review initial contract documents, perform quantity takeoffs, and collaborate to execute subcontractor agreements. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to cultivate a network of industry relationships to bring potential business opportunities to Clark leadership and help attract top talent to the company. Responsibilities

  • Review gross billings, track change orders and subcontractor requisitions as part of financial management.
  • Manage submittals, RFI, and material tracking processes for document control.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to subcontractors to ensure successful field installations.
  • Monitor trade workers with an emphasis on quality of work and safety in field management.
  • Assist with schedule management and site logistics for project delivery.
  • Resolve unforeseen challenges within installation, schedule, and trade partner coordination.
  • Review initial contract documents and provide preliminary evaluations of subcontractor bids in budgeting.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare overall bid proposals in estimating.
  • Collaborate to execute subcontractor agreements and manage relationships with the subcontractor community.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field, with an expected graduation in either Winter 2023 or Spring 2024.
