Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity. At this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer or sponsor a work visa or employment authorization for this position. This position does not offer relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Providing engineering support in designated company area or specific engineering discipline.
  • Performing engineering calculations, analysis, research, and design.
  • Carrying out routine assignments designed to develop professional engineering work knowledge.
  • Gaining familiarity with techniques, approaches, practices, and the nature of engineering systems and equipment.
  • Applying fundamental engineering principles and techniques in carrying out related engineering tasks.

Requirements

  • 0-2+ years of electrical engineering experience.
  • Must successfully pass all course testing requirements in the Engineering Support Personnel Orientation (ESPO) training program.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering concepts, fundamentals, and theory.
  • Oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing).
  • Effective decision-making skills.
  • Computer skills and application of software programs.
  • Analytical and abstract thinking skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn to apply engineering theories and concepts to complex problems.
  • Ability to interpret codes, regulations, and practices.
  • Ability to develop effective planning, project, and organization skills.
  • Ability to develop project management skills and handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
