About the position

The Engineer I, Field Service Asset Management position is located in West Greenwich, RI, and is focused on driving excellence in the Maximo work order system in Process Development. The role involves ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLA), compliance, and planning of asset work orders. The work schedule is primarily first shift (days), with hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4 PM, although some flexibility is available. The pay range for this position is between $27 to $30 per hour, depending on experience. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and planning work orders for non-GMP assets within the client's validated system, the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Maximo. This includes verifying and routing work orders based on work type, client requests, or Process Development requirements. You will also ensure the data integrity of all work order information and coordinate support from vendors, mechanics, electricians, and instrumentation for installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Additionally, you will provide necessary data and information to support internal and external audits and generate and modify Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to catalog vital updates to system data.

Responsibilities

  • Drive excellence in the Maximo work order system in Process Development through SLA adherence, compliance, and planning of asset work orders.
  • Efficiently and accurately develop and plan work orders for non-GMP assets in the CMMS Maximo.
  • Verify and route work orders varying by work type, client request, or PD requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity of all work order information.
  • Coordinate vendor, mechanic, electrician, and/or instrumentation support for installation, maintenance, calibration, and/or troubleshooting.
  • Provide data/information as needed to support internal and external audits.
  • Generate and modify Microsoft Excel spreadsheets with varying ranges of datasets to catalog vital updates to system data.

Requirements

  • GED or high school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a GLP/GMP environment preferred.
  • Proven understanding of work order management system (Maximo) preferred.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Digital literacy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of the biotechnology industry is helpful.
