We are focused on ensuring flawless manufacturing and testing of chromatography media. As an Engineer I, Manufacturing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality production and testing standards. Responsibilities

  • Address and report problems in daily manufacturing and propose effective countermeasures.
  • Complete projects as assigned and acquire high-quality results.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Revise SOPs to enhance processes, improve readability, and minimize the risk of deviations.
  • Proactively identify areas for opportunity and drive efficient results.
  • Execute manufacturing protocols accurately and with limited supervision.
  • Become a process owner; provide training and technical leadership within the specialized area.
  • Perform duties within the corporate EH&S Standards.
  • Adhere to ISO13485 guidelines and the Thermo Fisher quality policy.
  • Interact effectively in a cross functional setting.
  • Use highly specialized equipment and instrumentation.
  • Responsible for the completion of all tasks assigned daily (working O/T may be required).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field/science (preferably Chemical Engineering), preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of Chemical, Operations, Manufacturing, or regulated environment experience required.
  • Experience with SAP or similar inventory control systems is desired.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Adept at using specialized manufacturing equipment and instrumentation.
  • Proven ability to train and lead within a specialized area.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Technical and operational expertise.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse team.
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strict adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality guidelines.
