Responsibilities

  • Contribute to developing a high-performance data platform by integrating data from various sources.
  • Create certified data domains to support analytics and data science needs.
  • Provide expertise for the specification, development, implementation, and support of analytical solutions.
  • Assist leadership in defining the future vision, solution architecture, and roadmap of technology systems/platforms.
  • Participate in the development of non-functional requirements and review architecture and design of new solutions.
  • Explain technical issues to business or technology leadership in non-technical terms.
  • Provide technical leadership to junior engineers.
  • Build and deliver projects with high impact and cross-portfolio scope.
  • Evaluate, identify, and offer innovative options and solutions.
  • Interact with business teams to gather, interpret, and understand their business needs.
  • Foster the continuous evolution of best practices within the development team.

Requirements

  • Experience with data integration from internal and external sources.
  • Proficiency in analytical solutions such as Hive, Hadoop, EMR, Python, Spark, Redshift, NiFi, Sqoop, Kafka, and YARN.
  • Ability to define future vision and solution architecture for technology systems.
  • Experience in developing non-functional requirements and reviewing architecture and design.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading projects with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with data quality, standardization, and consistency best practices.
