The Field Service Engineer II for the Materials and Structural Analysis Division (MSD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific is responsible for performing the on-site installation, servicing, and repair of complex equipment and systems. This role is crucial in ensuring that customers can effectively utilize the advanced microscopy technologies provided by Thermo Fisher. The engineer will investigate and improve the operational quality of system equipment, including Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Small/Large Dual Beam (SDB/LDB) systems. Additionally, the engineer will instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of these systems, serving as a liaison between the company and the customer on both administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. Conducting on-site installations of the full range of Thermo Fisher Scientific electron microscopy systems and their associated options is a key responsibility of this position.
