About the position

The Quality Engineer II position at Edwards Lifesciences focuses on sustaining and improving manufacturing processes within the Surgical business unit, specifically for the RESILIA, Final Packaging, and Components value streams. This role involves applying quality engineering principles to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimize product development and manufacturing processes, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate moderately complex manufacturing product quality and compliance issues for all production processes prior to final product release.
  • Analyze results, make recommendations, and develop reports based on engineering principles.
  • Optimize moderately complex manufacturing processes using engineering methods such as SIX Sigma and LEAN methods.
  • Identify opportunities for redesign of equipment, tools, and fixtures to improve manufacturing processes and reduce risk.
  • Develop, update, and maintain technical content of risk management files.
  • Create training and documentation materials for production to enable seamless knowledge transfer.
  • Assign support tasks and provide instruction to technicians on conducting tests.
  • Train technicians and provide feedback, coordinating their work as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Scientific field.
  • 2 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree with relevant internship or projects in Engineering or Scientific field.

  • Basic understanding of statistical techniques.
  • Previous experience working with lab/industrial equipment.
  • Solid understanding of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to Engineering.
