About the position

As an Engineer II in the Process Development Group at Shiseido, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with formulating chemists during the early developmental stages of various projects. Your primary responsibility will be to identify potential quality and process concerns that may arise in the future. This position requires you to quickly acquire the necessary knowledge to create a Design of Experiments (DOE) aimed at addressing processing challenges effectively. You will be tasked with designing, preparing, and executing manufacturing trials and process validation batches for assigned projects, ensuring that all processes meet the required standards. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will actively participate in understanding and resolving both new and existing manufacturing issues. Compliance with company-set standards for laboratory safety and general maintenance in your assigned work area will be a key aspect of your role. You will also be responsible for investigating out-of-specification manufacturing batches and production nonconformances as needed, implementing effective and efficient corrective and preventive actions to mitigate any issues that arise. This position emphasizes the importance of collaboration and communication with various stakeholders within the organization. You will be expected to leverage the diverse capabilities of your colleagues and create an environment that encourages open dialogue and accountability. Requirements
