Responsibilities

  • Performs project management for a variety of different programs, including schedule and spend forecast creation and maintenance
  • Performs project engineering and creates project proposals
  • Leads all aspects of the projects including design drafting, survey, fabrication, right of ways, permits, etc.
  • Performs and/or reviews engineering calculations, analysis, research and design
  • Performs gas network modeling using Synergi software
  • Participates in the Engineering technical training and is willing to present/teach on occasion
  • Will participate in the Engineering On-call program, taking on-call shifts on occasion
  • Supports standard practice development and maintenance
  • Exercise independence in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard or well-defined engineering techniques, procedures and criteria
  • Uses independent judgement in prioritizing and making moderately complex adaptations and modifications
  • Achieving assignment objectives that require investigation of a limited number of variables

Requirements

  • 3+ years of developmental experience in a professional engineering position along with a bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • Competency in applying engineering principles, fundamentals, concepts, practices and procedures requiring some evaluation, originality and/or ingenuity to achieve project objectives
  • A valid drivers license and acceptable driving record that will be verified upon hire

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of natural system design, piping network analysis software modelling, government regulations relating to natural gas, and project management principles
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certificate
  • PE (Professional Engineer) certificate
  • Project management experience
  • Significant familiarity and understanding of related industry codes and regulations, including 49 CFR part 192, ASME 31.8 and other applicable pipe, valves, fittings and materials codes
