About the position

The Engineer III, Production role at Hikma Pharmaceuticals involves providing engineering solutions to analyze equipment and process capacity constraints, as well as developing a long-term strategic vision for equipment operations. The position requires making recommendations for equipment modifications or new purchases, investigating new equipment options, and focusing on capital management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the assigned production area on existing equipment, ensuring efficient operation and troubleshooting problems.
  • Analyze equipment capabilities and set up equipment for new product launches.
  • Monitor production processes and calculate data to implement continuous improvement activities.
  • Evaluate equipment to increase capacity and upgrade technology.
  • Mentor Production Engineers I and II.

Requirements

  • B.S in Pharmaceutics, Engineering or other scientific discipline plus a minimum of 5 years' experience, or a High School diploma with a minimum of 12 years' experience in pharmaceutical production equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, applying relevant engineering concepts and principles.
  • Planning skills for providing technical support to large capital projects.
  • Experience leading multiple capital and expense projects up to 2 million dollars, tracking schedules, costs, and deliverables.
  • Ability to identify complex problems and develop and evaluate options for solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective information conveyance and technical documentation preparation.
  • Proficient in computer skills including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, SAP, and machine-specific programs.
  • Experience with manufacturing technologies such as fluid bed systems, tablet presses, encapsulators, and more.
  • Knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations Title 21 regarding production equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Validation experience in qualifying equipment using GAMP methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and influence project team members without direct authority.
