About the position

HNTB is seeking a team-oriented design engineer to join their Oklahoma City office, focusing on transportation design projects. The role involves working on local and statewide highway projects, utilizing Bentley design software, and collaborating with various disciplines within the firm. This position is integral to the growth of HNTB's transportation design practice, contributing to significant infrastructure projects across the country.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.
• Assist in the development of project specifications.
• Responsible for development of discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans.
• Aids in the coordination and productivity of project team members.
• Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.
• Works closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projects.
• Performs quality control reviews of discipline-specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
• Assists with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledgeable in Bentley design software, specifically Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, and/or InRoads.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• ODOT, OTA and/or local municipal transportation experience
• Bentley software experience - Bentley OpenRoads and/or Concept Station
• Bluebeam Revu experience
• Active engagement in local professional and/or civic organization.
