About the position

The Electrical Substation Engineer-In-Training 1 position at Stanley Consultants involves working on the design of substation layouts and related electrical systems. This role is integral to a design team, contributing to multiple projects and ensuring effective coordination with various engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Design substation physical layouts and lightning protection systems.
  • Create conduit and cable plans, and perform grounding analysis and design.
  • Generate single and three-line schematic diagrams, panel wiring, and DC schematics.
  • Develop control building and relay panel layouts, and lighting designs.
  • Coordinate with structural, civil, transmission line, and graphics disciplines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited University.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Must have passed the FE Exam or be scheduled to take it within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
