The role involves providing Industrial Engineering support and guidance for all Wire and Cable Manufacturing plants, Compound Operations, and Compounding Modernization. The successful candidate will interface with various areas of the organization to drive continuous improvement and ensure that Lean objectives are met and exceeded. Responsibilities include understanding the cause and effect of data entered in CableBuilder, SAP, and MES, and how these systems interact. The candidate will also be responsible for retrieving data from SAP and BI via queries to analyze data and make recommendations, leading cost reduction projects, and supporting modernization efforts through savings and capacity analysis. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office setting. The candidate will also participate in continuous improvement initiatives, Lean events, and Lean tool certification for use in Wire and Cable operations. Responsibilities

  • Provide Industrial Engineering support and guidance for all Wire and Cable Manufacturing plants, Compound Operations, and Compounding Modernization.
  • Interface with other areas of the organization to drive continuous improvement and ensure Lean objectives are met and exceeded.
  • Understand cause and effect of data entered in CableBuilder, SAP, and MES and how these systems interact.
  • Understand SAP's cost structure and work cross-functionally to ensure product costs are accurate and current.
  • Retrieve data from SAP and BI via queries to analyze data and make recommendations.
  • Lead cost reduction projects, analysis, and tracking.
  • Write capital request proposals, project justifications, and track progress.
  • Support modernization efforts through savings analysis and capacity analysis.
  • Conduct production cost rationalization, development, and analysis for existing and new products.
  • Perform capacity and strategic production analysis and improvements.
  • Provide materials management support for Wire and Cable operations.
  • Plan production and order raw materials for compounding.
  • Improve Excel tools for conveying frequently communicated data and reports.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, Lean events, and Lean tool certification for use in Wire and Cable operations.
  • Support Compound strategy development with data analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering required.
  • 3+ years of industrial engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise of Industrial Engineering methods and concepts.
  • Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent software skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office setting.
  • Hands-on capability and ability to work well with limited oversight.
