About the position

The position is focused on applying advanced engineering principles to meet and exceed customer expectations while adhering to safety and quality standards. The role involves leading projects, developing innovative solutions, and mentoring junior engineers, all while promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in various assignments.
  • Ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Adhere to safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements including FDA regulations and company policies.
  • Develop new approaches to complex problems and lead projects to enhance technological capabilities.
  • Investigate and interpret technology and business trends, recommending best practices.
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement new technologies of significant scope and complexity.
  • Originate new documents such as protocols, reports, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Plan and develop engineering projects concerning unique or high-profile problems.
  • Lead cross-functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements and complexity.
  • Provide supervision for up to 4 to 5 technicians and/or associate engineers.
  • Serve as a coach and mentor for other engineers.
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with individuals and business units within or outside the organization.
  • Embed quality within the engineering discipline and assure adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Support Integer's Manufacturing Excellence and Market Focused Innovation Strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or related technical field; Master's Degree or Doctorate preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive engineering and/or technically focused roles and experiences; 15+ years of relevant experience may substitute for education requirements.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving foundation with training in methodologies such as 6-Sigma, 8D, RCA, 5-Why, Ishikawa, and PMP.
  • Ability to observe, analyze, and develop solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead team activities and coach less experienced associates.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and oral.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree or Doctorate in engineering or related field.
  • Black belt certification in 6-Sigma.
