The Engineer, IT / LIMS position at Catalent is a critical role within the Information Technology Department, which is responsible for supporting all functions at the Bloomington site. The primary focus of this role is to provide support for the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) application, ensuring that it operates efficiently and effectively in alignment with the company's business objectives. This position requires a proactive approach to system administration tasks, including user account setup and modifications, while also collaborating closely with Quality Control (QC) users to address their needs and enhance their operational capabilities. In this full-time role, which operates Monday through Friday, the Engineer will implement security measures, maintenance protocols, and support for enterprise systems in accordance with company policies and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will document support incidents in the appropriate helpdesk, project management, and change management tracking systems, ensuring that all actions are recorded accurately for future reference. Additionally, the Engineer will serve as a contact point for personnel training on one or more enterprise systems, providing guidance and support to enhance user proficiency. The role also involves writing detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, standard operating procedures, and administrative policies necessary for the development or modification of enterprise systems. The Engineer will be responsible for managing compliant change protocols and applying critical updates as necessary, utilizing proper documentation practices that are standard in the pharmaceutical industry. Furthermore, the Engineer will create reports for end users to trend and analyze system data, contributing to informed decision-making and continuous improvement processes within the organization. Other duties may be assigned as needed, reflecting the dynamic and fast-paced environment of Catalent.
