About the position

The Enerflex Broken Arrow team designs and fabricates Gas Processing and Treating modules and equipment. The Engineer - Structural - is a member of the Execution Engineering team for our Broken Arrow, OK location. They are primarily responsible for the accurate and timely completion of structural engineering deliverables on Gas Processing and Treating projects. All work must be performed consistent with company mission and values and adherence to company policies and procedures. In this role, the Engineer will prepare designs for structural skids and other modular structures, including pipe-racks, off-skid platforms, secondary structures, pipe supports, cross-overs, and cable tray supports. The Engineer will also complete engineering calculations and analyses of structures, which include lifting, road transport, and sea transport analysis. It is essential to ensure the provision of proper inputs to the designer team for structural fabrication drawings and to review structural drawings for adherence to engineering and project requirements. The Engineer will review contract documents and customer specifications for structure requirements, ensuring that deliverables meet international standards, organization standards, and customer standards as applicable. They will provide technical guidance for design reviews, investigation reports, and the development and implementation of corporate standards and guidelines. Additionally, the Engineer will prepare RFQ packages for engineering partner completion of engineering and design deliverables when required by project scope, evaluate engineering partner bids for technical requirements adherence, and review engineering partner engineering and design deliverables. The role also involves ensuring the completion of engineering deliverables per the project schedule and budget, timely review and approval of vendor deliverables, and participation in internal and external design reviews, providing technical guidance as required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare design of structural skids/other modular structures, pipe-racks, off-skid platforms/secondary structures, pipe supports, cross-overs, and cable tray supports.

  • Evaluate engineering partner bids for technical requirements adherence and supplying needed inputs once awarded.
  • Review engineering partner engineering and design deliverables.
  • Ensure completion of engineering deliverables per the project schedule. Report on project deliverable progress.
  • Ensure completion of engineering deliverables within the engineering budget.
  • Ensure timely review and approval of vendor deliverables.
  • Participate in internal & external design reviews. Provide technical guidance as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Civil preferred
  • 5 years of industry related experience with structure engineering and design
  • Familiarity with International Standards and Codes: American, British (preferred), and Euro Standards (preferred)
  • Proficient in using STAAD/Pro, STAAD Foundation, and other design software
  • Strong communication skills
  • Solid IT skills. Requires employee to constantly type and use a computer and other office equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working Experience in Oil & Gas Industry - On shore
  • Working knowledge/Experience in other industries like compression, Power generation, Water treatment, Oil & Gas-off shore.
  • Familiarity in document management (Like Wrench, Vault, PDMS)
  • Familiarity/working knowledge in any of the following tools: CADWorx, Naviswork, Tekla
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
