About the position

As a Level 3 Technical Support Engineer at Deutsche Bank, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Over The Counter (OTC) Clearing business. This position involves maintaining IT infrastructure and applications, ensuring optimal performance, and collaborating with various teams to enhance the applications within the platform. You will be responsible for problem analysis, remediation, and compliance with technology roadmaps, contributing to the development of new functionalities for Clearing platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 3 production support and manage the full life cycle of development tasks from specification to implementation.
  • Conduct problem and root cause analysis for application support, addressing post go-live issues and ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Perform essential maintenance on existing applications, including IT security remediation and compliance with mandatory upgrades.
  • Develop critical bug fixes and enhancements for Level 3 escalations and performance issues, collaborating with business analysts on requirements and design.

Requirements

  • Experience in IT infrastructure, application, and product support in an Investment Banking or Retail Finance environment.
  • Extensive experience in complex infrastructure and enterprise software platform development.
  • Excellent root cause analysis and remediation skills, with a solid understanding of networking and messaging.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Nice-to-haves

  • UNIX Administration (RedHat) and UNIX Shell Scripting skills.
  • Familiarity with Oracle, Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Developer, and Toad.
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS.
  • Understanding of ITIL and ITSM processes.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Geneos and Splunk.
  • Proficiency in GIT version control and IDEs like VSCode and IntelliJ.
