About the position

The Software Engineer - Machine Learning (ML)/Artificial Intelligence (AI) position at Parsons involves developing innovative solutions in the field of RF signal and data processing. The role focuses on utilizing advanced AI/ML technologies to enhance radar capabilities for the Army, contributing to research and development efforts at a premier R&D center. The engineer will work with cutting-edge tools and collaborate with multi-functional teams to design, implement, and integrate AI systems for various radar applications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis, requirements and algorithm design, implementation, integration, verification, and maintenance of artificial intelligence software systems.
  • Research and implement state-of-the-art ML technologies tailored for application to RF data processing.
  • Exercise a strong knowledge of software systems, AI/ML design methods, and system of systems architectures.
  • Understand supporting technologies including cloud computing, containerization, parallelization, databases, and Git.
  • Collaborate across multi-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving the Advanced Engineering and Modeling and Simulation Experimentation Environment and Solutions.
  • Participate in algorithmic design and machine learning frameworks including classification and targeting techniques.
  • Understand and follow development operations procedures such as source control, change management and release planning.
  • Integrate AI engine/techniques with modeling and simulation applications.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or similar field
  • 2-3 years of experience with AI/ML in complex software systems
  • Knowledge of domain specific radar principles, including signal processing; target acquisition; target tracking; resource management; discrimination; and battle manager interfaces
  • 3 years of programming in modern C++
  • Experience using tools such as MATLAB or Python for analysis of data sets
  • Experience with running and modifying simulations and performing analysis
