About the position

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will support manufacturing operations by overseeing New Product Introduction (NPI) from development to production. This role involves project management, product quality monitoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and compliance with project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage electro-mechanical NPI projects.
• Create PFMEA to analyze process risks of new products.
• Input estimated labor times and monitor actual labor times.
• Support design for manufacturability.
• Collaborate with process engineering to complete documentation such as routings and build instructions.
• Facilitate pre-build meetings and ensure completion of the NPI Build Readiness Checklist.
• Ensure availability of build materials and tools to meet project schedules.
• Support NPI builds to meet project schedule requirements.
• Represent manufacturing operations in weekly product meetings with cross-functional teams.
• Provide compliance information for new customer proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five years of experience in a manufacturing-focused engineering role.
• Minimum five years of experience supporting NPI projects.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and group presentations).
• Interpersonal skills necessary to lead a team and work respectfully across the organization.
• Self-starter and team player.

• Experience in an ISO-9001 certified manufacturing environment.
• Experience with FAA certified product development and manufacturing.
• Experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
