This Engineering role is pivotal in supporting nuclear plant operations through advanced technical and engineering problem-solving. The position requires a deep understanding of engineering principles and their practical applications, particularly in the nuclear sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for making technical decisions that impact plant operations and will possess a comprehensive knowledge of industry codes and regulations relevant to the field. In this role, the engineer will provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs. This includes direct involvement in identifying and resolving equipment and system problems, ensuring that all engineering tasks are completed accurately and on time. The engineer will be accountable for maintaining proper configuration management and ensuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes are adhered to in the preparation of plans and specifications. Additionally, the engineer will conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support various technical projects and programs. They will also be responsible for recommending equipment, new concepts, and techniques aimed at improving performance, simplifying construction processes, reducing costs, correcting design or material flaws, or ensuring compliance with changes in codes or regulations. This position can be filled at either the Mid-level or Senior Engineer level, with specific qualifications outlined for each level.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
  • Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
  • Provide complete task management of engineering issues.
  • Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision applying engineering principles.
  • Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
  • Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
  • Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering and 2+ years Nuclear or related engineering experience for Mid-level position.
  • B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer and 5+ years engineering experience for Senior position.
