About the position

TEKsystems is currently seeking a Network Engineer to provide operational support related to Incident Management, Problem Management, troubleshooting, and engineering within and connecting to DMZs. This role requires strong expertise in various technologies including Cisco, F5, CheckPoint, AVI, BlueCoat, and BlueCat, as well as a solid understanding of Middleware and Platform inter-operations within a DMZ. The Network Engineer will be responsible for both operational and engineering support, ensuring the smooth functioning of network systems and addressing any issues that arise. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building networks, configuring load balancers, proxies, and developing firewall policies. Familiarity with networking, storage, clustering, and patching activities is essential. Additionally, the candidate should be adept at building servers, installing software, and supporting application releases. A strong understanding of Vulnerability Management and Enterprise Security Baselines is also required, as the role involves managing a variety of individual network devices. Candidates should be well-versed in diagnosing issues and problems that arise in large multi-datacenter, multi-tiered application environments. Key areas of focus will include load balancing, BlueCoat Proxy, IP traffic management, network engineering, firewall configuration, and troubleshooting. This position requires candidates to work onsite in Irving, TX, three days a week, collaborating with a team of professionals dedicated to driving change and innovation in technology services.

Responsibilities
